The reason we went to parental house was to hold First Festival, (初盆） hatsubon following the death of my grandmother-in-law, who was 107 yeas old. My mother-in-law lit a small fire at the entrances of her house in the evening of August 13 to welcome back departed souls. And Buddhist priest came to our house to pray August 14. After praying her , we had a small party with my family.
And we went to ａ small bar. Good talking , eating and singing made us happy. My father-in-law was happy to be able to go there with his son.(my husband )
Next day, we went to Karatsu, Saga prefecture to eat lunch .
She sold her car 3 months ago , so we borrowed a lcar.
She was satisfied that we could go on a half of day trip.
This restaurant is famous for steaks of Saga beef. Because the price is cheaper than we eat the other restaurant , many people come there.
We dropped in at two roadside stations.
She lit a small fire again for sending off souls.
(I love this garden , I will take over it in near future.)
When I had lived in the U S, I told my firends that I did not have religion. But I am a Buddhist, ain't I?
I stayed my mother's house for 3 days. While staying her house , I cleaned up her house. I washed curtains and a carpet and wiped windows and so on.
When I met my mother who is 86 years old , I felt she looked older than before. She told me that she was sick 2 months ago and lost weight. I have just remembered a topic that the care of parent begins suddenly.
She is fine now but I need to prepare in case. We went shopping and ate lunch at a restaurant one time. ( ここのカレーはおいしかった。野菜一杯のカレーは時間がかかると言われやめましたが、カレーだけでも随分待たされました。 高校生の時、時々通っていた喫茶店でした。）
She has a lot of friends and good neighbors. They help her and she sometimes helps them. I am relieved they are a good relationship now. It is hard for me to live with her because her lifestyle is different from me...
My other friends and I went to the beer hall. 40 years have passed since I made friends with them. We enjoyed having good time.
My husband and I came back to Tokyo yesterday. I was so happy to meet my family and my friends. As Fukuoka was lower temperature than Tokyo, I was able to be relaxed as if having gone to the summer resort.
We were looking forward to eating delicious foods , especially Ramen and row fishes in Fukuoka. (らららラーメン、北九州市の黒崎駅歩いて5分） First, we ate Tonkotsu Ramen(とんこつラーメン）.
Then, I met my close friends. We were plannning on going to a Jazz bar where my friend's husband would had played Jazz. After a typhoon passed, the concert was called off because of a strong wind.
We changed our schedule to see my own house and to go to a food store called ” とと市場” to buy fresh fishes.
I like shopping at a roadside station(道の駅） （Roadside station is the rest house located in the open roads equipped with parking lots, rest rooms, restaurants and souvenir shops selling local products.）
I bougth a lot of fishes and we went to my friend's house.
Globefish, sea bream, Seriola purpurascens, whale, turban shell and so on. フグ、鯛、カンパチ、クジラ、サザエ
We had a good time while listening to his music on you tube. Jazz">Jazz( click here , you can lesten his jazz) I am proud of him because he became a professional musician while working as an office worker.
