Pennies from heaven.

I was injured while I was playing tennis last Thursday.
Therefore I was not able to walk well until Sunday.

IMG_3572.jpg

My husband and I went to see a movie to Tachikawa.
But we were not able to see it because the theater was filled to capacity.
I rescheduled it and went to the Showakinen-koen.

IMG_3628.jpg

It was huge park.

IMG_3577.jpg

IMG_3587.jpg

I heard there is a tall cherry tree in the park.
We took a park's train to go there.
But I didn't find out the tree.
Then we went around the park on foot.

Though I was not able to finally find a cherry tree, I really enjoyed seeing it.

The Geihin-kan

IMG_0735.jpg

I got good information from my friend.
We can see inside the bulding of the Geihin-kan now.
IMG_0733.jpg

The Geihin-kan (State Guest House) is a facility in which the government accommodates visiting state guests, such as heads of state or ministers.

IMG_0713.jpg

Cabinet Office ,Government of Japan announced that,
"Based on the outcome of the trial opening of a limited period in February, public opening throughout a year avoiding the periods of the visit of foreign dignitaries commences this April."

I got off at Yotsuya Station at 8:45 and ran to the Geihinkan entrance.
And I was able to get an admission card.
IMG_0704.jpg

After going through the security check , I paid 1000yen for addmission fee.
I really enjoyed to see them because I borrowed a rental guide instrument.

IMG_0756 (1)IMG_0755.jpg

There were some prohibited acts ,
No photography and don't touch the walls.
IMG_0737.jpg

Big wonderful chandeliers , marble columns and pictures were imported from France.
It's called Versailles palace of Japan.
The pictures of cloisonne which were made in Japan gave an impression on me deeply.

IMG_9064.jpg IMG_9065.jpg

IMG_9066.jpg

IMG_9067.jpg IMG_9068.jpg IMG_9069.jpg

Rose festival is open now.

IMG_8477.jpg

I brought my father-in-law to the Jinai botanical garden.(神代植物園)yesterday.

Autumn with the sky clear and blue, and horses growing stout
I am growing stout, too.
Stout means portly.

IMG_8463.jpg

Rose festival is now open.

IMG_8476.jpg

It was the best time to see them.

IMG_8478.jpg

He was 84 years old.
It was fun for me to go there with my father-in-law.

After seeing many roses, we had a lunch.
The soba noodle restaurant is near the Jindaiji temple entrance of the garden.
We ordered soba noodles , sobamiso and a bottle of beer.
He liked sobamiso and I bought it for his souvenir.
To tell the truth, my friend told me about sobamiso when my friend and I visited there.
Thank you very much to my friend.

IMG_8482.jpg

After eating , we went back to the park .
Because he got an energy , it means a bottle of beer , he told me to want to walk again.

IMG_8495.jpg

On the way to the park, something fell on my head and I shouted !
It was an acorn.

IMG_8490.jpg

IMG_8494.jpg

I took a photo which put his face out of a picture frame.

IMG_8497.jpg

He is a smart old man because he can enjoy anything.

IMG_8498.jpg

I bought roses for my gift...It cost 300yen...

We really enjoyed the time.

We climbed Mt. Mitake(御岳山) and Hinode(日の出山)

My husband , my friend and I left my house at 6:15 on October 11th.
We transferrd to JR high speed train, ”特別快速ホリデーおくたま1号” at Tachikawa station.
We arrived at Mitake station at 8:07.
Then we bought rice balls and beverages and we took a bus and a Cable car.

IMG_8351.jpg

This is Mt Mikake staion.
We started haiking at 9 am.

First I took her to Musashi-Mitake Shinto shrine but this was under repair .
From the upper station of the Mitake Cablecar it is a 20-30 minute walk to the Musashi-Mitake Shrine on the mountain's summit (929 meters).

3036_03.jpg

I have been there 2 times before but my friend who comes from Ibaragi prefecture has never been there.
After praying, I changed the plan and we decided to go to 七代の滝.

IMG_8359.jpg

This was a nice view.
But we spent a lot of time to go there because up-and-down roads continued

IMG_8366_20151013184701b41.jpg

Then we went up nearby steep many stairs , we found a rock .
After going up the rock, we were able to see a great view.

IMG_8354.jpg

.When we went back in front of the Shrine, we talked about our next hiking plan.
She wanted to go to Mt. Hinode because she has not been a chance to hike mountain ranges.

IMG_8369.jpg

On the way to Hinode, we saw a big tree.
This is a very famous tree ”

We needed to be hurry up to go to Mt. Hinode.

IMG_8373.jpg

This hiking cource was very easy for us.
We enjoyed hiking and talking a lot.

IMG_8378.jpg

Autumn season has come.
Colored leaves are starting now.
It was a little bit early time to see them.
But the mountain which is not crowded with people was good for us.

IMG_8379.jpg

It took just an hour from the top of Mt. Hinode to the hot spring ”

IMG_8381.jpg

As my friend had to go home , we took the hot spring for half an hour.
Then we got on the bus for 武蔵五日市station at 2:39 pm.
We walked for 5 hours and went home each.
We really enjoyed hiking and talking with my friend ....and my husband.

After going home , I got many information.
From the shrine, we have various hiking options to neighboring peaks and valleys.
Next time I want to try other course.
